Hey Gang!

So much going on these days. I thought the summer was supposed to be slow. NOT!

I have more going on now then ever before.

If it seems like I have disappeared for a bit ... never fear. It usually means that I am on

a painting/sewing binge. I tend to get in a panic mode. Here is why ...

When you run your own business you get to do everything by yourself. I wear many hats.

I design, sew, paint, create the finished product, photograph, upload to sell, manage my Etsy Shop, buy supplies, pack and ship, create advertisements/business cards/banners, order such, keep the books, pay taxes, work directly with customers (duh), deal with tax accountant, design and run blog, write posts, update weekly, research and visit other artists, keep learning and updating my skills, take online art and business classes, try to maintain a newsletter, Twitter, Facebook, AND learn how to use all of the programs necessary to make this happen!

I think there is more ...

Some days I just run around in circles.

I tend to be very organized so it is easier then you think.

In the meantime ... Go check out my Etsy Shop I add 4-5 new items.

I
must be a moron.

It turns out that yesterday one of my UgLee's was

featured on the front page of ETSY!

I had no idea.

It is like missing your childs' birthday party ... twice.

There are 11,224 sellers and my horse

named Twix made the front page!!

I am a proud Mom.

I would take the day off, but it appears

that being on the front page has its benefits.

My shop has been PILIAGED!

If you spent the day with me, you would understand.

I don't just make things.

I create family members.

Yeah ... Lord knows I need the

cold hard cash, but I love it when

they hang with me for a while.

It's like when daughter Sam comes home from college.

You know ... the hanging thing.

I know she will leave soon and that is OK ... I know she is safe

and happy.

My UgLee's are no different.

I feel like crap when I have to

wrap them up quick and rush them to the post office.

I feel like I am kicking them out the door

naked, without their suitcase and no cash.

I have a vague memory of my mother telling me if I wanted to run away

I had to leave with --- what I CAME with.

**** NOTHING ***

That comment ... in and of itself kept me home.

Now I loss my train of thought.

Oh well, I have to get off to the post office again.

I will spend the rest of the month

filling commission orders and replenishing my shop.

I am watching really bad B movies on my computer and listening to Steven King's audiobook ... Bag Of Bones.

This is Douglas.
He is a BuTT UgLee Wonder Boy.
Douglas measures 6 1/2" wide and 13" tall.
The cape is removable. I think the cape is awesome! It is painted blue on blue polka dots with the word POW! on the back in orange.

This is a "before" photo of Douglas. You see ... after these photos were taken Douglas decided he would show me a few of his special powers.

After watching him suck marbles through his nose, make a whole herd of fire ants disappear down his leggings, fart with his arm pit and much, much more, he decided to impress me with his flying skills.

He puffed up his cape, sang some song about how the size of your cape DOES matter and flung himself into oncoming traffic.

I can't go into any of the details from here. Let's just say that Douglas needs a BIGGER cape.

Rain

is the FIRST EVER

BuTT UgLee

Elephant!!

This is Rain.
She is the first EVER BuTT UgLee Elephant!
Rain measures 14 1/2 wide and 9 1/2" tall.

I had so much fun making her!!!
Adding new characters is so rewarding to me.
I now have a Zebra, Camel and an Elephant.
I'm thinking Giraffe, Turtle and maybe a Bear??

Rain has graduated from 6th grade and is well on her way to Hell. yes ... Hell Otherwise known as Middle School. This is where she will be taunted, harassed and have her soul ripped to pieces. Before she can do that she has to go to the Doctor and have a series of very painful shots, then run off to Walmart and spend $200 on school supplies, which will all be stolen in the first week.

If you have a moment ... please say a small prayer for Rain. She is going to need it.

I haven't even mentioned recess yet. DOUBLE HELL!

Tori the mermaid and Mason the starfish!

Here is their story ...

Tori and Mason just met at the beach. Mason was either dumb as a box of bricks or hard of hearing. We are not sure as of yet. After 4 hours of hounding Tori for a date she finally gave up and agreed to a pizza and an ice cream on the boardwalk.

She grabbed her cover up, darkest sunglasses and the widest brim hat the owned. She was covered from top to bottom. Her friends would NEVER recognize her, and it would be a free meal.

Mason tightened the cord on this leopard thong, oiled up his field of chest hairs, slicked down his "Jersey Shore" mane of hair and shoved 2 twenties in his crotch. It was going to be an evening SHE will never forget.

He sold right away but I am taking special orders.

This is Blaze the squirreL.

As of today he is still available.

This is Bubbles ... My first Zebra! She sold right away but I am taking special

orders for Zebras too!

This is Twix.

He was a special order for a very special collector.
